Triple Crown Blackberries
Triple Crown Blackberries
Sweetest Thornless Blackberry

  (4 customer reviews)

Gurney's Choice Vigorous plants consistently produce plentiful yields of large, tasty fruit. Triple Crown Blackberries are nearly as large as Apache's. Wonderfully complex, sweet flavor without the acidic tang of some varieties. Dense foliage cover reduces problems with sun scald. Ripens late July on thornless,semi-erect 12-to 15-ft. canes. No. 1, 1-year plants.

At the supermarket, a handful of raspberries or blackberries can cost $5 or more. But why pay those premium prices when you can harvest baskets of these flavor-filled berries for fresh-eating, jams and desserts right from you own backyard? For easiest harvest and to reduce the risk of fungal disease, provide some types of support for the canes. A simple wire trellis set between posts often adequate. Cut spent canes to the ground after they finish fruiting.

Thornless plants.

Zones: 5-9.

Good plants so far
Reviewed By: Brent (Marshall, IL)
I purcased 3 plants. They arrived with the roots plenty wet. Planted them in early april. Now its may and two out of three are growing really good. As for the third i am yet to see any growth. but for being a first time planter of something other than vegetables I am totally satisfied. Be even more satisfied next year when then they start producing.

If you decide to purchase this variety, you will not be sorry. I trellised my plants and they reach 10' high and better. All round performer. For pictures feel free to email me.

Prolific Blackberry
Reviewed By: Malcolm Overton (Poseyville, Indiana)
I planted this Blackberry type three years ago and it is the largest, best tasting blackberry I have ever grown. It is prolific and productive. Picked 7 gallons off of ten plants in the second year and expect to do much better this coming year. It does better if it is trellised as it is simi trailing. It is easy to grow more plants by tip rooting.
