Late Frosts No Problem!
(12 customer reviews)Gurney's Choice For top-quality crops in any region. Excellent cold hardiness and tolerance to late spring frosts makes Contender superb for Northern growers. Marvelously melting, sweet yellow flesh. Extra juicy. Self-pollinating. Ripens in mid-August. Peaches- members of the big Prunus genus-share similar traits. In addition to bearing sweet, juicy fruit, all of these stone fruits have beautiful springtime blossoms and attractive leaves, making them valuable landscaping trees. (Freestone) Zones: 4-8. Semi-Dwarf sizes not available in CO, OR. Standard sizes not available in CA, CO, OR, WA. Product Details

They are wonderful. - Sunday, January 18, 2009Best performer Reviewed By: Dawn (Poland, IN) I planted 4 different peach trees 4 years ago and Contender and Belle of Georgia were the two that performed best. Golden Jubilee and Reliance just haven't done as well in my yard. I am looking to add a half dozen of the two that performed best this Spring. Both trees produced peaches that were juicy, sweet and drenched in that wonderful fresh off the tree taste I recall as a child in NJ. Nothing better than growing your own fruit! Read More Reviews |
