The Onion Lover's Favorite!
(2 customer reviews)Gurney's Choice Walla Walla Onions are famous for its size and sweetness! Harvest the 4-inch golden-skinned bulbs early for satisfying crunch and mildest flavor. A short keeper, best used raw. Long day. 115 DAYS. For flavorful bulbs in a hurry, start with onion plants. You’ll harvest onion bulbs just 3 ˝ months after planting. Tip: ‘Long-day onions’, better suited to the North, need 13+ hours of daylight for best development, while ‘short-day varieties’ need less and thrive in regions with a mild winter climate. A bunch contains 55-75 plants. Product Details

I am not much of an onion lover but I really like the way these onions give flavor without the bite. I highly recommend these onions and have them in the ground at my house since they were just little starts as of the end of April and they are doing beautifully, and I actually look forward to reaping what I've sown. You can't go wrong with the Walla Walla Sweet Onion. - Friday, October 30, 2009Sweet nad large Reviewed By: John (Hummeltstown, PA) I ordered the plants in 2009 and a bunch provided about 30 ft of row of onions. They grew to be softball size and were the sweetest onions I have ever grown. Will be ordering for 2010! Read More Reviews |
