California Giant Mix Zinnias explode into bloom by early summer, even during unseasonable heat. Fully double flowers in rainbow hues, 30 inches tall. Showy blooms up to 6 inches across!

These old-fashioned favorites are easy to grow throughout the country. Tall types are excellent for the middle of beds and borders, and great for cutting. Dwarf varieties are outstanding edging plants.

Comments: Sow seeds outside where plants are to grow after all danger of frost has passed or sow seeds indoors 4 weeks before planting outside after all danger of frost has passed. Maintain a temperature within the medium between 70-75 degrees F. However, zinnias do not transplant well. Therefore, direct sowing of seeds is best. Pinch plants to induce bushiness. Water plants at ground level to prevent mildew. Zinnias thrive in heat and dry places.

Really GIANT

We live in the desert in Southern California and planted California Giant last summer. They were huge. They got to nearly 5 feet and then drooped over and took off again. It was in a space where we couldn't have something quite that big so we kept chopping them off and they just kept coming back. The did well even when the temps got over 120 degrees in July. Highly recommend if you have the room.
