Velvety crimson petals--a dramatic departure from the usual golds! Bloom size is 4-6 in. across and plant height is 6 ft. Velvet Queen Sunflowers are stately, distinctive and a dependable seed producer. 100 DAYS.

It’s no wonder sunflowers are so easy to grow- these magnificent flowers are American natives. Use smaller types for cutting and edging, taller ones for screens. At the end of the season, watch for goldfinches, who love the seed!

My friend ordered these seeds for me last fall ... they are now starting to bloom and they are yellow ... I thought they were supposed to be a dark red color.

I've gotten alot of compliments about the unusual shade of this sunflower. Makes a nice contrast when planted with the regular 'yellow varieties''. The birds love them too!
