![]() Honey & Cream Hybrid (su) Sweet Corn
Tender Yellow-and-White Combo
(4 customer reviews)Honey & Cream Hybrid Sweet Corn is a tasty bicolor combines the creaminess of white, the sweet goodness of yellow. Blunt ended 7 1/2- to 8-inch ears, filled with broad, deep kernels. Perfect for canning and freezing, too. 84 DAYS. Sweet corn has come a long way! Choose from high-sugar hybrids (su) that are sweeter at harvest and stay that way for up to 10 days, super-sweet hybrids (sh2) with their even higher sugar content and crisp texture, and sugary-enhanced hybrids (se) that are sweet, creamy and extra tender. Very low germination rate, short stalks (less than 5 ft) and poor fruiting. Would not purchase again. - Sunday, January 20, 2008Delicious Reviewed By: Abe (Helena, Montana) This corn did well considering our dry conditions and poor soil. Didn't get very tall and did not produce many ears, but what we did get was absolutely delicious. - Thursday, August 02, 2007Small ears Reviewed By: Russell Tinder (Orfordville, WI) My previous experience was with Bodacious hybrid and was extremely happy with the results. Why didn't they have the ratings on their products in April?!?!? Honey & Cream is like a Yugo compared to a Mercedes! Double ears on most all of the plants and ear sizes dwarfed by the Bodacious hybrid. While both varieties were advertised with 8" ears, Honey & Cream ears were much smaller. Ears were also very, very low on the stalk which made it hard to pick but easy for the raccoons. On top of it all it took 3 weeks to get my shipment. Never Gurney's again. Read More Reviews |
