One of the earliest bicolors offered. Quickie Hybrid Sweet Corn displays good, cold soil vigor for short-season areas. Sturdy 5-feet stalks bear 7-inch, 14-row ears with fine flavor, lasting sweetness and tenderness. 68 DAYS.

Sweet corn has come a long way! Choose from high-sugar hybrids (su) that are sweeter at harvest and stay that way for up to 10 days, super-sweet hybrids (sh2) with their even higher sugar content and crisp texture, and sugary-enhanced hybrids (se) that are sweet, creamy and extra tender.

68 Day Quickie is a Winner

I've been growing this 68 day Quickie for the past 4 years with excellent results. It germinates well [80%] in my somewhat heavy soil. Last year I also tried the new 'Gotta Have It" corn, and it had a terrible germination rate some 20% in the same soil. This year I'm going 100% with the 68 day Quickie. My rule of thumb - "The larger the seed kernels - the better the germination rate". Happy gardening.

I read some reveiws as to short stalks and poor kernal placement.I grow sweet corn of all 3 types (su,se&sh2)first of all if you want your corn cob to fill out make sure you block your corn rows say you only have 500 seeds do 5 rows of 100 seeds to polinate well.remember the tasles fall on the silk to form those kernals if it only carrys thru 2 rows its just not going to do good.befor even getting to that point corn likes nitrogen and lots of it.I start with 12-12-12 at planting then when corn is about knee high i go 19-19-19.Remember to rotate your corn every year each year pick a diffrent corner of your garden.Corn sucks your soild dry of all it has.However some years are bad if one year is poor try again next year then decide.Ps its try sh2 is harder to grow then su or even se but very very possible soak that corn over night in a warm warm place befor planting it and look for a day befor a rain to aid in the germination.
