Wonderful Strawberry Bed
Reviewed By: Nicole (Bussey, Iowa)
I got this package deal for my first time ever trying my hand at growing strawberries. I really like the design of the bed it's very convienient. The sprinkler does very well, and the design is very space saving. I'd say that this bed would be a great purchase for someone wanting to try out strawberries, but if you like it, you may want to expand your garden later on.

I'm pleased!

I've always wanted a pyramid bed to grow strawberries, as the wandering nature of the plants seem naturally well suited to this type of structure. My neighbors down the road have a strawberry pyramid bed, and it looks sensational. I was pleasantly surprised to find this product on the Gurney's website. I'm not the greatest with constructional projects, and I was grateful with the simplicity of this pyramid. The key is to have plenty of planting soil available. If you bank the soil against the frame of the pyramid, it will hold it's shape without problems. I love the pyramid's watering system, too.

Better idea
Reviewed By: Emma (Charleston, SC)
As others said, this is pretty flimsy. Still, it's a great kit. We actually reinforced the walls with brick landscaping edging (to make it look prettier) and its REALLY sturdy now. You could probably do away with the whole kit all together, though. Just make a big circle out of bricks, edgers, or retaining wall block. Fill it. Make another smaller circle on top, etc. It's the same idea, but will match you landscaping decor better than aluminum.
