With Hardy Lavender even the foliage smells sweet! Forms neat, grayish-green mounds, 15-20 inches high, dotted with pretty purple flowers from June to frost. A favorite for sachets and potpourri. Best planted in full sun, well-drained soil.

Comments: To improve heavy soil conditions, incorporate generous amounts of peat moss, compost, or well-rotted manure deeply into the soil. Mulch around base in fall. Blooms are borne on spikes arising from mounds of foliage. Flowers and stems are sweetly fragrant. GOOD FOR ROCK GARDENS, CUT FLOWERS, DRYING, POTPOURRIS AND SACHETS. MAY BE CLIPPED INTO A LOW, INFORMAL HEDGE.

I love this plant! I only wish I had ordered more! I stuck it in a lg pot and it started blooming within a couple of weeks, very green and healthy, just a joy to watch, and the scent is delightful!
