Montana

I have had my Bird of Paradise plant for 20 years and just last month in December of 2007 my plant started to bloom. One flower is in full bloom and there is another one starting. I am surprised that they bloom in this area of the states.

Indiana Believe it or Not
Reviewed By: Merry (Valparaiso, Indiana)
Believe it or not my Bird of Paradise is doing very well in the Northern part of Indiana, I had it outdoors for the summer, brought it in and it flowered the end of October. Some of the leaves browned when I changed the climate, but with a grow light and watering only when the soil is dry, the new growth is amazing.

I have several of them in San Antonio, TX and as everyone knows, it is constantly well above 95 during summer and can get to the low 30s in winter, my birds of paradise bloom every year.
