Gurney's Choice. Sets lots of large, delicious berries with sugar-sweet taste and a temptingly juicy texture. Plenty for processing--produced over 12,000 quarts per acre in trials--but oh, so irresistible fresh from the garden! Withstands leaf spot and leaf scorch.

Self-pollinating. Zones: 4-8.

Strawberries announce the arrival of summer, bearing juicy red fruits loaded with sweet flavor. They’re among the most versatile fruits you can grow, too-use them in pies, on shortcakes, in jams and jellies, or simply pluck them from the garden and enjoy! Any surplus is easy to freeze, too.

Comments: Our favorite, popular everbearer is famous for its large yields of bright red, unusually large berries. Ozark Beauty plants set delicious fruit from June through September. Everbearing strawberries deliver fruit all summer, with a large initial harvest and a steady crop the rest of the season. Like Junebearers, they are very easy to grow and will do well most anywhere. Plant both Junebearers and everbearers for a constant supply of fresh fruit. High sugar content. Thrives in any soil. Unusually vigorous plants with a deep root system. Resistant to leaf spot and leaf scorch. Especially good for the north and in southern mountain states.

So far so good

Well, I was a little confused when I received my order because I was certain that the add read, buy 25 and get 25 free, but when I got my order, there was 25, going back online, since they were out of stock, there was no information on them in details..two of the bareroots I received I was pretty certain wouldn't make it..and they didn't...the berries have been in the ground over 2 1/2 weeks, and actually I have them in raised beds with an excellent soil/compost/mulch mixed that I had delivered...they are starting to get blossoms on them which I am removing to help the berries establish a strong root system...the 23 are still alive so that is good news...I think they will do nicely once they get themselves established...will mulch will well with straw to retain the moisture in my hot texas town..these ozarks are a good deal...
