38 years of satisfaction
Reviewed By: Marc (Penn Yan, New York)
Are commercial U-Pick grower has tried many varieties over those 38 years . I personally have tasted 4 other varieties in the field u-picking. The deep red color, juiciness and a flavor that visitors from our state and farther remark as the best they have ever tasted . 100 quarts a year picked to process(frozen and jam) and eat with shortcakes attest to my families satisfaction. The highlight of our june garden chores is vistiting to pick these delicious berries . Actually considered a "Heretage berry today" the history goes back to the 1930's. The National Sustainable Agricultural Information Service noted that Honeoye were the most succesful for organic growers in there trials http://attra.ncat.org/attra-pub/PDF/strawberry.pdf. Enjoy!
