![]() Tonto Hardy Crape Myrtle
Cold-Hardy Semi-Dwarf Strain
(1 customer reviews)Tougher than its refined Southern cousin but every bit as beautiful. Tolerates subzero temps, consistently produces loads of sweet flowers. Leaves turn scarlet in fall. Grows just 7-10 feet tall with a rounded top. Red-tinged, gray-barked branches are heavy with blooms from mid to late summer. Gurney’s trees are shipped as dormant bareroot stock that leafs out into handsome, healthy specimens that do our lawn and landscape proud. Potted plants. Zones: 6-10. Product Details

Which I have to say was disapointing as it was very pink, and not the red that Tonto is said to be. (hence the 4 stars) This year though it's already all fully leaved out and has shown some growth height and width wise and it's only March 30th. I hope that this year it grows much more as its just barely a foot tall now. I have 'high' hopes for it :-) Gurneys really does have good stock! Read More Reviews |
