Prolific yielder, known to produce up to 100 pounds in colder
regions. Bears sweet emerald starbursts famous for
mouthwatering flavor. Fruits have a juicy texture and tiny
seeds like strawberries. Ready to harvest in late September.
Thrives anywhere but soggy soils. Bears in half the
time of other kiwis (by the second or third year). Self-pollinating,
but even more productive with a second plant nearby.
Potted. Zones 4-9. For each offer ordered, get one plant.

| Comments: Transplants easily. 800 chilling hours. Cold hardy. Tolerates any soil type. Very vigorous, needs considerable pruning. Relatively disease-free. Mulch to retain moisture and keep soil cool. Refrigerate after harvest but store at room temperature a couple of days before use for best flavor. Fruit hangs below foliage and falls when ripe. Needs a trellis system. Flowers on one year old wood. Can be used as a pollinator for Hardy Kiwi but is not as successful as the male Hardy Kiwi.
