| Comments: Mix generous amounts of peat moss, compost or well rotted manure into the soil. Water deeply 1 time a week. When rainfall is scanty. Feed with 5-10-5 in spring. Remove flowers as they fade. When frost blackens foliage, cut back to 1 inch and mulch. This aster is a beautiful fall blooming plant that is a great way to extend the bloom time of a perennial garden. Good companion to mums. Should bloom the 1st season with the proper care. Great as cut flowers.
