| Comments: "The Sun" These long lived woody shrubs produce one of the most magnificent flowers to be found. These resemble exquisite, huge, delicate roses with papery petals, either in solid shades or more often in the most glorious color combinations that have the beauty of a Monet or Gaugin painting. Most are wonderfully scented. For best performance, they should receive not more than 4 hours of sun a day and this preferably in the morning. They are heavy feeders, so they require a rich, deeply worked soil and some annual fertilizing. The plants take 3 - 4 years to flower, thereafter they produce flowers annually. They are best given plenty of room. A winter mulch in northern areas where frost heaving is a problem is recommended. Remove in spring before growth starts. Good resistance to P $ D problems. Watch for borers. Deer resistant. Liked by butterflies. Most are very fragrant. Shipping: View Shipping Schedule Tree Peonies Ships In The Spring Unable to ship to: AE AK BC GU HI PR
