This not only makes for bold displays in the garden but provides armfuls of cut flowers. Most varieties benefit from being dug up and divided every 3 - 4 years or when the flower production drops. Plants do best if you select a sunny airy site, as the majority of Phloxes are susceptible to mildew and need good air circulation. Water in mornings so moisture can dry off during the day.
