Felix Crousse Peony
Felix Crousse Peony
Early and Extra Large--Up to 8 Inches Across

  (0 customer reviews)

The Felix Crousse Peony has plump, heavily petaled peonies which measure 6-8" across and come in many variations of pink, red and white. Dark, glossy foliage springs up in a hurry, forms a good looking backdrop for the spectacular blossoms. Shrub-like mounds are 2-3 feet high and ornamental even after the flowers fade--around midsummer. Creates a low-growing, low-maintenance hedge that never needs pruning! Plant in full sun.

No. 1 root divisions with 2-3 eyes.

Zones: 3-8

SECOND SEASON; DOUBLE THAT OF THE FIRST YEAR. THIRD SEASON; MATURE GROWTH AND BLOOMS. IF BLOOMS APPEAR THE FIRST SEASON, REMOVE TO CONSERVE ENERGY. WINTER DORMANCY NEEDED FOR BLOOMING. ANTS ARE VERY ATTRACTED TO THE FRAGRANCE OF THE PLANT - THEY WILL NOT HARM THE PLANT NOR ARE THEY NEEDED FOR THE BLOSSOMS TO OPEN. IF THE PLANTS FAIL TO BLOOM BY THEIR THIRD SEASON, THE ROOTS ARE PROBABLY TOO DEEP - TRANSPLANT IN FALL AS DIRECTED.
