Red Cedar Tree
Red Cedar Tree
Naturally Neat Cone Shape

  (3 customer reviews)

The Red Cedar is the tree to pick if you hate to prune! Attractive natural growth habit, 30-40 feet tall, with a conical shape and gray-green needles.

Windbreakers protect farm buildings, feed lots and orchards from heavy sows and icy winds. They prevent erosions of valuable topsoil, reduce heating costs, cut down on snow removal, shelter livestock and provide a winter wildlife refuge.

Bareroot. Zones 2-9.

Red Cedar
Reviewed By: Joe (Suring, WI)
Got 3 bundles of the 6" size in '07, one bundle didn't look good from the beginning and never survived, but the other 2 doubled in size the first year. That's a good survival rate for bare root trees in my experience, especially with droughty conditions last summer. I'm ordering replacements plus a few extra this year since they are attractive trees in all seasons so far.

Great!!!!

These are GREAT TREES !!!! Whenever I purchase NEW PLANTINGS, I am sure to water them in and continue watering them during extreme times for approx. two years. After the trees have had that opportunity, they usually take care of themselves.

Early planting is best
Reviewed By: Anthony (Davison, Mi)
Early spring plantings were extremely vigorous with the use of foliar feedings of Nutri 20. We have had a severe drought and I think about 35% of the later plantings have died due to severe stress.
