Vinca Minor are super in sun or shade and in any soil. Evergreen foliage, 6 inches high, in a tight mat 1-1/2 feet wide. Royal purple flowers bloom in spring. Covers 11¼ sq. feet. Bareroot.

Comments: Mix in generous amounts of peat moss, compost or well rotted manure into the soil. Keep soil moist, not soggy; especially during hot, dry summer periods. Occasionally requires clipping back in the spring to encourage new growth. Attractive dark green shiny foliage. Excellent around the base of the trees. Makes an attractive, fast growing ground cover or border/edging. Also called Periwinkle or Creeping Myrtle. Will do better in shade or partial shade.

Was first to bloom
Reviewed By: Selena Clements (Port Orchard, Wash.)
I planted this in a planter last year after knowing a woman who makes creams out of the leaves. I admired the vigorous growth and evergreen traits. Not only did it survive neglect (OTJ back injury), but it's spread. This year, it has been the first to bloom. I want more!

really grows anywhere!

I planted this last year and this year it covers double the space. And we have hard, clay soil that hardly allows anything to grow!

Vinca Groundcover

This is a vigorous, very hardy groundcover. Mine is in semi-shade and in 5 years has covered approx. 1000 square feet. Beautiful flowers and much better than Kudzu.
