Spirea Vanhouttei Hedge has arching, fountain-like branches that are covered with great snowy sprays of blooms in mid-May. Foliage is an attractive bluish-green in summer, then turns golden in fall. Grows 6-8 feet tall.

Hedges divide a yard into separate spaces for outdoor entertaining, for gardening and for setting off a stretch of lawn. They are far more attractive then fencing and much less expensive.

I had ordered these shrubs from Gurneys when we lived in Maryland. Living on a corner, I lined the street sides of our lot. Every spring, cars would stop outfront for the people inside to admire the show. Walkers in the neighborhood would stop to ask what shrubs they were. Now that we have moved to South Carolina, I am planting them along my wrought iron fence. Can't wait for the show when they begin to bloom!
