![]() Patriot Hybrid Blueberries
Known for Consistent Yields.
(6 customer reviews)Patriot Hybrid Blueberries produce up to 20 lbs. of fruit per plant. Deep blue, highly flavored fruit ripens in July and is larger and firmer than most. Low growing, spreading bush grows to about 4 ft. and is excellent for landscapes, turning fiery orange, yellow and red in the fall. Patriot is adaptable to many soil types, shows good resistance to root rot, and can withstand wet soils better than other varieties. Flavor is rich, berries are extra large--firmer and flatter than most. Shows good resistance to root rot. 12- to 18-inch plants. Blueberries belong in every home garden! Not only do they produce deliciously sweet and healthful fruits, nut the 4- to 6 foot shrubs make handsome landscape plants. Once established, blueberries need little care or attention. Zones: 3-7. It was a mainstay of my commercial farm and will be in my retiremment kitchen garden. - Sunday, February 11, 2007large and hardy Reviewed By: Joe (Suring, Wi) Large berries on hardy plants, my bare root stock took 3 years to start producing but I didn't have my ground acidified until I planted them, so they took a year to get started good. They love acid soil, so start to acidify your ground before you plant( it may take 2-3 months for acidifiers to take total effect ) and protect plants from deer. Enjoy - Wednesday, May 16, 2007I love this blueberry Reviewed By: James Papas (Coulterville, California) This seems to grow well, and Gurneys came through with some replacements on the few that were broken in shipping. Berries are small, but seems like 2 times as many of them. Read More Reviews |
