Comments: Garden phlox have a flower that is difficult to beat. Plant should be deadheaded to prevent self-seeding resulting in inferior colred plants. Fertilize and water regularly. Divisions should be made in the fall. Requires winter mulching in northern climates. Disease and in sects are a minor problem. Over watering can be the most serious problem because it causes powdery mildew.
