This system is so much better than any I have tried. My cauliflower and brocolli had long, healthy roots and not at all root bound. I ordered another so all my transplants can get a healthy head start.

Great system when used intelligently and properly. There is no toxicity in the styrofoam as one reviewer suggested. The proper use is to keep the styrofoam tray floating so as to get the air mixture. Don't let it rest on the bottom of the tray. Another point is that the purpose is to grow roots and not the top growth so it is good when the plugs are saturated with roots and you only have modest leaf growth. When the ground temp gets above 55 and you plant these guys-you will see top growth explode! Living in Ohio, soil temp sometimes does not reach 55 until the last of may or beginning of June. It is advantageous not to have a lot of top growth when you can't Plant. I move the plugs into styrofoam cups with holes punched in the bottom about the first of May and just wait for the soil temp to get to 55. My garden quickly surpasses others who don't use this system and plant early with little roots and a lot of green. THIS SYSTEM PROMOTES ROOT GROWTH!!! Awesome product if you know how to use it.

I love this seed starting kit. My daughter gave me one kit and I had bought another. I am glad. This spring, I started all my seeds there. They all germinated and grew to nice seedlings, which I transplanted to bigger pots and then unto my garden. All the seedlings looked healthy, with nice roots. Just love this product. I'm going to buy more replacement plugs for next season. Thank you for an excellent product.
