Privets Doing Well
Reviewed By: Stanley Smith (Ririe, Idaho)
I planned close to 100 Amur River Privets 3 years ago and then an additional bunch the following year. About 98% are doing well. They are now about 2 1/2 tall, lots and lots of branches on each plant. I believe I will have excellent windbreak value in the next few years. Thanks, Gurney.

Amur River Privet
Reviewed By: Stan Smith (Ririe, Idaho)
Unlike others who have commented, my Privets have done very well. I planted my first group (over 50) 3 years ago and they are doing well. 25 or so I planted last year, are doing extremely well. All plants are now 18 inches to 3 feet. They have rooted well, some branches have broken, but, overall the plants look as though they'll give a great hedge--I live where it's cold w/strong winds in the winter! Stan

Slow and Steady
Reviewed By: Jeff (Sterling, MA)
I purchased these 2 years ago as well. They are about 3 feet tall but they are, by far, not a thick screen of green. They are sparse branches and have some foliage on them but offer no privacy yet. Maybe next year??
