![]() Triple Crown BlackberrySweetest Thornless Blackberry
(6 customer reviews)Vigorous plants consistently produce plentiful yields of large, tasty fruit. Berries are nearly as large as Apache. Wonderfully complex, sweet flavor without the acidic tang of some varieties. Dense foliage cover reduces problems with sun scald. Ripens late July on thornless, semi-erect 12- to 15-ft. canes. No. 1, 1-yr. plants. Zones 5-9. This item ships only in the spring. If our spring shipping season is closed, your order will be shipped the following spring. Product Details

Reviewed By: Susan L. (Provo, UT) I planted several Triple Crown plants I purchased from Gurney's about 5 years ago. It took them a year to get established. We have enjoyed fat and delicious berries every year. My neighbors are surprised by how large and sweet the berries are. And no thorns! I planted another variety I got from a neighbor at the same time, those berries are smaller with bigger seeds and not as sweet as the Triple Crown. Two of my gardening friends also grow berries and say Triple Crown is the best blackberry! - Tuesday, November 17, 2009first year Reviewed By: Jim (Oskaloosa, Kansas) no berries the first year, but prolific growers. I used 16ft cattle panels arched between steel posts, about 6ft apart, to support them. They have already grown the the other side and pushed into the ground, starting new roots there. Looking forward to berries in the spring. - Friday, May 09, 2008Good plants so far Reviewed By: Brent (Marshall, IL) I purcased 3 plants. They arrived with the roots plenty wet. Planted them in early april. Now its may and two out of three are growing really good. As for the third i am yet to see any growth. but for being a first time planter of something other than vegetables I am totally satisfied. Be even more satisfied next year when then they start producing. Read More Reviews |
