unusual flavor
Reviewed By: jeannie (hanford, ca)
The flamingo hybrid grape tomatoes have a most unique tomato flavor with aftertaste that reminds me of gala apples. They are not very productive and are prone to split if over watered but their unique flavor makes them worth growing. I run a garden program and have customers who love them. Every year I test another pink grape in hopes that I can match the flavor and replace the flamingo with something more productive. But I have never found it. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because the flavor counterbalances it's lack of productivity.
