The Contender put on twice the beans that Trofeo did. About a 70% germination vs. 95% with Contender. Pretty good flavor. - Monday, August 03, 2009great filet bean Reviewed By: Linda (Elkton, Virginia) First time planted and loved them. Produced a bushel from one short row. Nice, long, and slender, without any spots. All came on at once, so we could pull the plants and plant more!!Makes a great dilly bean! - Monday, December 28, 2009Just didn't quit Reviewed By: Sue (South Plainfield, New Jersey) I planted 16 square feet of Trofeo, half in May and half in early June and nearby an equal amount of Jade at the same intervals. I pulled the Jade in July due to powdery mildew - and harvested my last Trofeo in time for Thanksgiving. This variety gave me over 3 quarts of beautiful, disease-free beans. Read More Reviews |
