More blue than pictured

It may be my computer monitor, but these are definitely blue and not lavender. What a lovely surprise! They are tiny though, so plant them front and center or they get lost. The blooms are about the size of violets. If they spread like the description says, they may be good ground cover in a rock garden. Bloomed early to mid April in zone 4 in the area near the Wisconsin/Minnesota border along I-94.

these pop out from under my rose bush every year and surprise me; they are bright little stars of blue and last for almost 2 weeks then the foliage dries up and they disappear until next year. They bloom the earliest of all my spring bulbs; usually early april.
