We planted this carrot in heavy clay soil with great results. We got huge, well formed carrots with wonderful carrot taste and no pithy or woody cores. Well worth the extra price.

Sweet in Summer

Nantes have prove to be great in the root cellar,but take a frost to taste real sweet. I have tried several varities looking for a sweet carrot to eat during the summer. Envy Hybrid is it! And to my delight, they kept just as well in the root cellar as the Nantes. Envy has a permanent spot in my garden.
