What could be better than a bed filled with colorful German Irises in spring? How about a bed filled with beautiful German Irises that bloom in spring and from late summer to the first frost? These eight outstanding irises will reward you with large, lovely blooms not just once, but twice each season! All are hardy, vigorous and very easy to grow in full sun or partial shade. Grow 30-38 in. tall. Bareroot. Zones 4-9.

Product Details
Zones: 4 - 10 (-20° F.)
Height: 38 inches
Spacing: 2-3 feet
Depth: Dig a shallow hole 2-4" deep and twice as wide as the rhizome. Place the rhizome on a small mound in the middle of this hole and spread the roots. Fill the hole with soil, but only partially cover the rhizome. Water thoroughly.
Spread: 24 inches
Sun/Shade: Full sun, light shade (5 or more hours of sun per day)
Color: Yellow
Foliage: Green, sword-like fans
Blooms: Intermittent blooms midsummer to frost
Comments: May die back in colder climates. Not suited for the Gulf of Mexico and Florida where summers are warm, humid, and rainy. In zones 4 and colder, use warmer microclimate within yard to get reblooming. In clay soil, rhizomes should be slightly exposed. In sandy soil, they can be covered an inch or two. Vigorous grower which requires generous feeding if the soil is not fertile. Water during dry periods to rebloom.
