Developed at the University of Minnesota, this apple is hardy and quick to bear. Ripens in early September. Although surpassed by Pixie Crunch in flavor and texture, Honeycrisp is still a popular choice for eating fresh. Zones 3-6. U.S. Patent No. 7197.

Height: 8-10'-dwarf, 14-18' std.
Spacing: 15' minimum
Depth: Graft or bud union should be just above the soil line. Look for plant depth indicator.
Spread: 12- 15 ft
Sun/Shade: Sun
Pollinator: Nova Spy, Sundance, Redfree, Sweet 16
Blooms: Late season

Fruit: Large, red blushed fruit is over 3 in. in diameter. Texture is crisp and crunchy with a juicy, sweet flavor.
Comments: Introduced in 1991 from the University of Minnesota, this tree is precocious and productive. Preharvest drop is a problem in warmer growing areas.

Haven't got any fruit yet but the tree is looking good. Should start getting fruit next year or the year following. Can't wait. It made it through the summer we had this year so is pretty hardy.

The fruit trees i ordered were a big disapointment spend the extra 10 dollars and get them from a nursery. unless you want a stick with a few buds on it what A JOKE.

Twiggiest plants I've seen

We have had fruit trees for many years, but never any as sorry as this apple & peach tree that we received this past week. They are so small, probably won't grow, but they are in the ground. Only one shoot on the barely 2' tall tree that came in a 6' box.
