This is now my favorite squash to grow. The taste and texture of this variety is creamy and mildly flavored with a hint of pumpkin. I sliced this in to 4 large chunks and roasted it in the oven with olive oil. Add salt, pepper and fresh garlic from the garden. Even my 10 year old loves it and has never liked squash until now. This is a trailing squash, so it's best if you have plenty of room. - Tuesday, May 26, 2009delicious! Reviewed By: serina (bismarck, nd) In 2008 these produced very well and were deliciously flavored! I grew the vines up a sturdy 7 foot grid trellis and this saved me some room in my garden. I plan to buy these again for this season. - Saturday, February 21, 2009Extremely Prolific! Reviewed By: Beverly (Greeley, Colorado) Bon Bon is the most prolific buttercup-type squash I've grown. Very robust vines will climb corn, sunflowers, fences and sets many many fruits. Huge yield from one packet. Deep orange, flavorful fruits - a family favorite. Matures before standard Buttercup, is ideal for short season growers. Read More Reviews |
