I have purchased stock for my homestead many places this is the first time for gurneys to supply, and the quality was superior to that of other local or smaller nurseries. the short of it is buy the best you can afford, this tree and others showed up as the best. Thank you Gurney.

Best growth of 3 different cherry trees I bought
Reviewed By: crystal tyo (chilhowee, Missouri)
We bought 3 different cherry trees all of them rocket root.Sweet Lapins being one of them earlier this year.. cant say enough for the survivability of the rocket root trees.. they grow!.. I planted all 3 in same type of soil... a clay loam with good drainage.. and within a week the Lapins shot forth new growth. the other ones were slow to shoot out and a few months later the lapins has grown 4 feet taller and bushier!it was when planted about 3 feet tall. im an inch over 6 fot and it now is much taller than i am.. the other 2 have normal growth habit and are around 5 feet tall.. cant wait to see and taste the cherries to be. and again long live the rocket root. lol i love the ability to plant a tree that has all the small much needed feeder roots in my native soil here.. much better survivability than regular pruned to nothing rootstock.
