I had different kinds of melons and pumpkins close by that grew fine...these did not - Wednesday, August 04, 2010Sweet! Best watermelon for northern states Reviewed By: Richard (Burley, Idaho) Trying to raise watermelons in Idaho can be difficult, we just don't have the long growing season needed for most watermelons. However, the Crimson Sweet solves that problem, if you start them indoors and plant them by the 1st of June as seedlings. Over the years, I have tried at least a dozen different watermelons but the Crimson Sweet and the Sugar Baby are the only watermelons that seem to grow well in our area (South Central Idaho). The last two years have been outstanding! Try these, you'll love the results. They're great! Read More Reviews |
