Velvety crimson petals--a dramatic departure from the usual golds! Bloom size is 4-6 in. across and plant height is 6 ft. Velvet Queen Sunflowers are stately, distinctive and a dependable seed producer. 100 DAYS.

It’s no wonder sunflowers are so easy to grow- these magnificent flowers are American natives. Use smaller types for cutting and edging, taller ones for screens. At the end of the season, watch for goldfinches, who love the seed!

This was my first year growing the Velvet Queen Sunflowers. They are simply beautiful! I'll be looking for these seeds again next year as the goldfinches are enjoying them as much as we are. Thanks Gurneys!

I am very pleased with the color, size and multiples blooms. It was unusual to find two sunflowers blooming back-to-back. Two other blooms attached at the back had a third bloom on the side. So I had two three headed sunflowers. They are quite pretty and such a novalty I would highly recommend growing these flowers.

My friend ordered these seeds for me last fall ... they are now starting to bloom and they are yellow ... I thought they were supposed to be a dark red color.
