This is a good beet for pickling. Easy to peel and easy to slice. Grows even in a wet/cool growing season. Bought 2oz more for the 2009 season.

I love these beets! Produces lot more beet than others to use for canning and freezing. Order every year and share with my friends and family.

My family has always had problems growing the traditional beets because of our soil type and the crazy Vermont climate. I ordered a packet of Forono Beets this year from Gurneys and we had beet greens in a Months time! Very excellent, and sweet tasting, grows very well. Goes well with Salt Pork!!
