Hardy
Reviewed By: Sharna (Bemidji, Minnesota)
I received my lime bush last spring, and it has certainly proved to be very hardy. I put it outside in the summer, and despite some hale damage, and too much saturation due to heavy rains, the little guy really came through. I have brought it in during the winter and have set it by a window. It is really taking off, especially when I began to feed it an acidic fertilizer feeder. Though set back due to several disasters, it is doing well and has high hopes for the future. The leaves are shinny green, and even smell tropical!

Beatiful little plant

Quite a nice little tree though, just make sure you check it every day or two if you get one to make sure yours does not get invaded by common garden pests which all seem to think the leaves and roots are tasty. You will want to invest in a squirt bottle if you don't have one and spritz its leaves every day or so when you first transplant it - do not water for at least a week after your transplant drenching. Also a fun plant to grow from seed if you remember to peel off the outer casing on the seeds and plant them fresh from the fruit! For less adventurous people or those who want to try their hand at growing from seed as well as buying, this is a wonderful addition to your greenery and eventually to your fruit supply.

nothing like a real Key Lime
Reviewed By: Kim (Spring Hill, TN)
When we lived in Miami we had a beautiful prolific Key Lime tree and it was lost (literaly) after Hurricane Andrew. I've missed having fresh Key Limes so I'll give this a try - the only thing I'm unsure about is the color of the limes on this tree. As far as I know Key Limes should be yellow. We'll see!
