Excellent plant from Gurneys

Excellent, healthy plant from Gurney's. It's a Joseph's coat, an ARS 7.4, the plant from Gurney's is a very healthy, vigorous version of the classic climber.

Beauty beyond imagining
Reviewed By: Dorsie Hathaway (Vancouver, Washington)
I purchased two Joseph's Coat climbing roses several years ago to plant on either side of a gateway arbor. They grew well and are hardy in the Pacific NW. Mine have survived weeks of ice, flooding and this year, a tornado. Blooms on these roses are beautiful beyond my wildest imagining. It has become one of my most favorite roses and is my favorite climbing rose. The buds come in a deep crimson color, and as they open, change colors through the spectrum from vibrant crimson to red, a rich salmon, then coral tinged with with orange, pink, and golden, rich amber and yellow with pink. The fully bloomed rose's petals have a lovely soft yellow with pink that resembles the "Peace" rose. These have a long season, a lovely scent, and they like to be cut back twice a year and sprayed with fungicide. Very few thorns, great color and scent. A crowning glory for any arbor, trellis or garden structure, the Joseph's Coat climbing rose will give you long-lasting pleasure.

Incredible!

I purchased 3 Joseph's Coat roses last spring. They were large bare root and took off well. The roses were the most magnificent I have seen! So prolific with buds everywhere, they grew to over 6 feet tall the first year. I am ordering more this year for a fence row. Thank you!
