Beautiful tree - suckers terrible
Reviewed By: Bridgit (Madison, WI)
This tree is beautiful when it flowers, and bears loads of fruit, but the suckers are extremely bad. My trees are over 10 years old and every year there are more and more of them! If you don't keep up with removing them they will take over!

Great Tree

This is one of the best plum trees I have ever run across! If you plant this tree in among your other plum trees, it will improve the yield of the hybrid trees. The fruit is sweet and wonderful. It makes some of the best jelly I have ever tasted. The jelly is a fantastic color that looks like it is straight out of a stained glass window. The plums are also great to eat right off the tree. Old-fashioned summer fruit that will bring back great memories of simpler times for everyone who values flavor and beauty over marketability and shipping.

Productive and Delicious!

I'm a terrible newbie gardener. I planted, then transplanted two of these plum trees in my red clay yard during a drought. Not only did they survive, but they throve. By the second year, the fruit filled our freezer! Having only had grocery store plums before, I found the taste amazing.
