It's a pretty blue-green color that last from mid spring all the way into fall without watering. It's soft under your feet and doesn't need to be mowed at all. It also forms a thick sod that keeps the weeds out after the first year. The only problem people might have is that it doesn't turn green as early in spring as other grasses, but I think its good qualities more than make up for it. - Thursday, August 11, 2011Buffalo Grass Reviewed By: Donald Hammers (Augusta, Georgia) The soil in my part of Augusta is sandy and poor. Our Summer sun temperatures are in the low 100s; winters get down to 10 degrees. I planted Buffalo Grass as a last resort for weed control between two driveways.
