hearty & graceful beauty

This has always been my favorite flower, but difficult to purchase in this area. When we bought our first house, lo and behold guess what popped up in the backyard! Pros: The flowers are unique & beautiful with many flowers per plant. The leaves are also a very pretty shape & color. They are very resistant to EVERYTHING. They transplant beautifully. If there is even a tiny portion of root in the ground it will take & you will have a lovely plant. Cons: They do not flower all season. They will take over if allowed.

Disappointed

I was very disappointed with the Columbine I received. I did not receive the product until late May. When the ad says bareroot they mean nothing more than a very small piece of root. I could have bought a full grown plant locally for the same price. I guess I wait and see what this piece of root does before the end of summer.
