Forms a mat of semi-evergreen foliage, 4-6 in. high. Blooms steadily mid to late spring. Thrives even in poor soils. Covers 3 sq. ft. Bareroot. Zones 4-9.

Foliage: semi-evergreen, needle-like
Blooms: early to mid-spring
Comments: Water weekly first season, during long prolonged hot, dry periods in subsequent years. Mix peat moss. compost, or well rotted manure deeply into the soil. Cut the plant back after flowering to encourage dense growth. Good for rock gardens or borders.Excellent spring color. Also called moss pink or ground pink.May experience some browning during winter if in a windy, frosty location. In very cold areas, plants may die back.

save your money and go to wal mart, not happy at all i got two rootballs for nine bux, wal mart a pot fully bloomed three bux ,

Great coverage

I planted in late spring and had them fully established by fall. The next sping I had a dense carpet of flowers. By the end of the second summer I The plants had tripled in size. The only down side is the relativley slow first year growth.
