Produces up to 20 lbs. of fruit per plant. Deep blue, highly flavored fruit ripens in July and is larger and firmer than most. Low-growing, spreading bush grows to about 4 ft. and is excellent for landscapes, turning fiery orange, yellow and red in the fall. Patriot is adaptable to many soil types, shows good resistance to root rot, and can withstand wet soils better than other varieties. Zones 3-7.

As a retired grower I can recommend this fruit for flavor, size, abundance, easy picking and offering a long season with its staying power on the bush. It was a mainstay of my commercial farm and will be in my retiremment kitchen garden.

large and hardy

Large berries on hardy plants, my bare root stock took 3 years to start producing but I didn't have my ground acidified until I planted them, so they took a year to get started good. They love acid soil, so start to acidify your ground before you plant( it may take 2-3 months for acidifiers to take total effect ) and protect plants from deer. Enjoy

This seems to grow well, and Gurneys came through with some replacements on the few that were broken in shipping. Berries are small, but seems like 2 times as many of them.
