No Apples
Reviewed By: G. Goad (Northeast TN, TN)
Ordered this tree 10 years ago. A nice tree, but not one apple. I have many apple trees that do well. None of Gurneys trees produced. This variety may produce better further north, but certainly not here

Pear like flavor an apple without any sour flavor. Site states "tangy-sweet" I would disagree this apple is a rare un-tangy apple. Much closer to Vanilla pear here in the north west. Quite firm at harvest and does well stored in a basement. Rich, mellow and low acid at harvest, mellowing further to pear like in storage. Very good to excellent flavor which is best.

HARDY!

These standard Gala trees are extremely hardy, they looked like sticks when they arrived last spring. It's now late fall with temps in mid 20's and these hardy trees have grown up and out I would bet 2 FT and still have their leaves.WOW!
