Although, they spread out well for a first year perennial. I was also suprised to find several blooms the first year that stayed on almost all season. The come up nicely in the spring, a beautiful dark green plant and then all of a sudden they are filled with buds and then beautiful pinkish/purple flowers that come and go all summer long. Wish they came in other colors... I would buy many more. I highly recommend the Zing Rose.
