When these plants arrived in mid-April, they looked dead. The leaves were brown and wilted. I was a bit embarrassed to plant them in my front flower bed. Good thing I did, though. By early May, they had turned green, grown several inches taller, and divided. I look forward to the plants blooming. When they do, my 4 out of 5 will be a 5 out of 5 !!! Thank you.

I got these in the mail and thought oh no they are dead. After reading some of the reviews here I decided to plant them and see. Wow, after just a couple of weeks they are vibrant and green. I can't wait to plant them in my garden!!

Marsha - the plants that arrive look dead but they aren't! My neighbor is an expert and calmed me down - I planted them and they are doing great. They just look funny and almost as if they are moldy when they arrive, but that is normal. They outgrow it quickly and start to produce fresh green leaves! Don't give up. The flowers will wow you.

I was really excited about getting these, but when they arrived, almost all of the plants were rotten. I called and they resent them.I received an email on Wednesday that they were shipped that day. They arrived on Saturday and half of them were rotten. Needless to say, I was very disappointd.

Always Pleasing

I grew up with these flowers. My mom received about 6 from a neighbor, and in a few years, had a nice little patch. She kept dividing over the years and lined them up 3 deep. By the time I graduated high school, she had 6 plants deep and the entire length of our yard, which was 150 feet. They never failed to bloom, blooms lasted a long time, never drooped or broke. If you share plants with neighbors, or sell at farmers markets, this is a good one! I have been searching for these for years as most places have hybred these into miniature varieties. They are wonderful butterfly magnets! These are the originals and only found here at Gurney's!
