The bare root specimen is alive and with my ability and care will surely flourish over time. Time is the issue! This tree should have been grown for at least another year if not two before being offered for sale. My "tree" doesn't even qualify as a "whip" in nursery terms. The term "caliper" does not apply. Hopefully, mine was just an oversight and not typical of Gurney's tree offerings. I look forward to living long enough to write a very favorable review of an outstanding white apricot offered only by Gurney's Seed and Nursery. Note: I have been buying fruit trees from various sources for over forty years and have planted more than sixty trees in four different states as my company moved me around.
