I ordered 1 tree and was suprised. It was so large when it got here. I soaked it and started to get leaves before I even got it planted. It has been planted 3 to 4 weeks now and it is covered in green even in the red clay I planted it in. I love it and may get another one in the fall so it won't be lonely.

4 in one apple tree

This is the third summer since I've planted this tree. Some of the branches don't get many leaves and for the second year in a row only one branch gets apples.

Wonderful trees

I ordered two trees since I removed some large Oaks trees in my front yard to create more light. The trees arrived in a fine shape and after soaking for 24 hours I prepared the soil, had it tested and adjusted and planted the trees. This is the 2nd year and I had to call an Apple orchard nearby for help in pruning since the trees produced so many fruit, I was afraid the branches would break. They are absolutely fine specimens. Both the trees were unfortunately visited and damaged by deer, so I have erected deer fences (the trees are worth the effort). This winter during the dormant period the "expert pruner" will come and correct what the deer did). Apple trees are a long-term effort but the kids love the spring blooms and watching the apples grow. Thank you Gurneys for 2 splendid specimens! - DVW
