Don't plant it! - Wednesday, August 26, 2009About Palownias Reviewed By: Don Hammers (Augusta, Georgia) There are several varieties of Paulownias. The one offered here is the taller variety. I purchased two of these trees at different times of the year. The first one was planted late last year and is now over 10' tall. The second tree was planted mid-summer this year and is about 12" tall after a couple of months in the ground. When they are small, they do tend to sucker a bit, but after they get over 4' or so, they seem to settle down to one stem. There growth rate is truly amazing. - Wednesday, August 26, 2009Paulownia Reviewed By: Don Hammers (Augusta, Georgia) I have two of these trees that I started during different seasons this year. They start out slowly, but soon take off in their growth spurt. The Paulownias tend to sucker a small amount when they are small, so they should be managed. As they grow larger, I have noted no suckering. After applying some 10-10-10 fertilizer my Spring 4" planting is now over 9' tall! - Monday, September 28, 2009ROYAL PAULOWNIA Reviewed By: CARYL SCHEMRICH (NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO) I love this tree!!!
